Sustainable Planning

A “big picture”, holistic approach to design and planning is the foundation of every design decision that we make.  We specialize in sustainable solutions that take care of all aspects of the “triple bottom line”: people, profit and planet.  Creating green solutions is important to both the planet and your pocketbook, and we provide solutions to plan, design, and operate green buildings and facilities.  All Metropolis staff are LEED accredited professionals with a history of knowledge and experience in the rapidly developing field of sustainable design.  From strategic planning and fund procurement to design and certification of buildings, our team is ready to partner with you and your organization.

Because each project is unique, we avoid “cookie cutter approaches”, and tailor the design to provide the most intelligent and inspiring solutions to address the goals and aspirations of the client. This allows the creation of a healthier building that saves money over the life of the building.

We specialize in tailoring the principles of SUSTAINABLE DESIGN to each individual project. We are passionate about the importance of a holistic approach to address site conditions, energy use, water use, selections of materials and building processes and indoor environmental quality.

In every aspect of development, from conceptual design to individual specifications, we analyze the best use of space, technology and materials to provide long-term economic gain in a visually inspiring and environmentally positive manner.

Interior Design

We understand that it is impossible to separate the exterior structure of the building from the design and finishing of the interior spaces. Our design approach involves design of all aspects of the building simultaneously creating visceral reactions to spaces that function beautifully and inspire those that live and work inside of them. Design Services include:
